Inpaint 3.0

Inpaint reconstructs the selected image area from the pixel near the area boundary. Inpaint may be used to remove undesirable objects from still images. Delete any unwanted object from your photo, such as extra power-line, people, text... The program will automatically inpaint the selected area to erase it.

Change the default location for opening images - at the moment it uses a folder inside Inpaint - it should be My Pictures

Add an 'unmark for inpainting' tool so you don't have to clear your entire selection if you make a mistake.

Change mouse cursor to show the marker size.

It would be nice to see the mouse cursor reflect the size of the marker. As it is now, I have to guess as to exactly where the brush is going to start.

Show an outline around your cursor so you know where exactly where you will be marking to inpaint.

Improve the look of the GUI - it looks cheap -unfortunately appearances can make an impact on the overall impressions that a software gives

Instead of generating the rectangular selection tool instantly upon mouse-up, prompt the user to click when they've finished defining the area to be replaced, then prompt them to drag the rectangle into position. This would make Inpaint a 100% no-bra

have the help option offline... looks like GUI is build in VB which make the software less worth...

The price for a VB program like this one is about $10-$12 max !

Inpaint would be much improvedwith a full blown photo-editing program included

As it stands the software is very limited. It would be a much more versatile and useful softwware package if a full set of photo-editing tools were included, especially for the asking price of nearly $40

Fix the algorithm for larger selections. Works great on a zit, terrible on a landscape, with different items within a selection.

Add clipboard support. Being able to copy and paste the image would make it easier to work with other image editors.

There is only one, simple, feature I would like to see incorporated in this good program and that is to have a key-press so I don't have to keep accessing the blue arrow all the time. One hand on the mouse the other on the key and away you go.

After the selection is colored, provide nodes (and let the user add additional nodes) so that the shape can be adjusted.

This will allow me to account for coloring outside the lines and make my selection more precise.
